Working on the C++ conversion. I have done the core internals, and I’m working on the CPU part at the moment.
The CPU emulation needed some refactoring, and I’m actually shrinking the code about 20% and making it easier to read.
I will go on with the memory subsystem after the CPU is done. After that: Emulation of structures.
In other news, the free clone of AmigaOS for classic hardware such as Minimig, Amiga 1200 and Natami is coming along nicely. Now AROS m68k boots on real hardware, an Amiga 1200 with a 68030 processor.
I got it pointed out that the source and binaries were so called “tarbombs”.
I had not heard of the term before, but I understand the problem.
I repacked the archive files. Sorry for this!
2011 will be a great year!
Emumiga is not dead, but the development is at a slow pace right now.
I admit, I’ve lost focus working on the C++ idea and the conversion.
But hang in there, stuff is moving behind the scene.
Congratulations on the AROS Kickstart ROM being able to boot the first game! No, it’s just a trackloading game which does not use the operating system, but it proves that all initialization is working as it should.
